Formerly, I found very much of Faust in myself. I think, directly, more indirectly Goethe had expressed the complex nature of himself good enough. This because Goethe was not only, as a poet, a great self-revealer, but also, in spite of the abundance of autobiographical records, a careful concealer. But, I admit, in the case of Goethe, we have not succeeded very far. Since it is one of the principal fonctions of our thinking to master the material world physically, it seems to me that thanks are due to psycho-analysis if, when it is applied to a great man, it contributes to the understanding of his great achievement. He himself approached it at a number of points, recognized much through his own insight that since we have been able to confirm……. The same I would say is true for Faust in which what Wagner did musically Goethe did literarywise. He never tried to make a systematic analysis of the masterpiece, rather prefered of making some attributes here and there, as we shall see below. While reading Faust almost in ecstasy, perhaps experiencing our collective unconscious time to time, and reexperiencing many things through identifications, one feels as if watching his own life story in a mirror. During this, they experience and share and repeat the entire human beings daily life experiences: hope, hopelessness, love, suffer, myth and alike. In both these elections, the main beneficiary of the MCA's collapse was the Democratic Action Party (DAP), which increased its number of seats in the Dewan Rakyat (House of Representatives) from 12 to 28 in 2008 and then to 38 in 2013. In 2008, the MCA had also lost more than half its seats (holding 15 out of 31) from the election before that. In the recent Malaysian general elections, the Chinese component of the ruling Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition, the Malaysian Chinese Association (MCA), lost more than half its seats (holding seven out of 15) from the 2008 elections. Kelly's story has been retold numerous times, and the lead role cast with a dizzying array of actors (including Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger). "True History" is one of the more arresting attempts, in part because it treats the outline of the tale as raw material for flights of fancy, seemingly modeled on psychodramatic spectacles like " The Sacrifice," " A Clockwork Orange," " Apocalypse Now" and " The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford," and anchored in intriguingly retro Freudian situations and images. The gang was wearing homemade metal armor at the time, in hopes that it would deflect bullets. He and his gang were crushed in a shoot-out with law enforcement in 1880 after failing to derail a police train. Kelly was an anti-authoritarian of Irish descent who became a bushranger (wandering robber) under the tutelage of Harry Power (played onscreen here by Russell Crowe), then waged war on Australian colonial police, partly as a result of ugly run-ins between Victorian police and the Kelly family. Grounded in the true stories of activists and soldiers, parents and children, Shore’s book blends a narrative of suspenseful choices with a historian’s reflections on what revolution is and what it means. In this lyrical and intimate book, Marci Shore evokes the human face of the Ukrainian Revolution. What is worth dying for? While the world watched the uprising on the Maidan as an episode in geopolitics, those in Ukraine during the extraordinary winter of 2013–14 lived the revolution as an existential transformation: the blurring of night and day, the loss of a sense of time, the sudden disappearance of fear, the imperative to make choices.
